Wednesday, April 27th, 2005

The Muppets have released their rendition of the Wizard of Oz. I haven’t seen it, but I’m sure it’s fun. Who out there can’t recall the words to “Rainbow Connection” which opened the first Muppet movie? I’ve got to see if they have that on iTunes.

Jeff Goldblum Shows Up in Leather

Sunday, April 24th, 2005

Jeff Goldblum appeared for the premiere of “Special Thanks To Roy London.” He’s a completely genial fellow, almost eerily relaxed on the carpet. I told him he had a great “evil genius”-looking leather jacket on. The Interpreter Premiere

Tuesday, April 19th, 2005

The big event tonight was the premiere of the “Interpreter” starring Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn. It was the opening feature of the Tribeca Film Festival, an institution founded by Robert Deniro in the wake of 9/11. From an entertainment reporter’s perspective, it was a “perfect storm” of people who don’t like getting their picture taken. Nicole Kidman, Robert Deniro, and Sean Penn all appeared on the carpet. However, they shot down the carpet with such speed that one photographer likened them to jets taking off from an aircraft carrier.

Here’s Nicole running by.
